Following the success of Leeds Safeguarding Week 2024, Leeds Safeguarding Adults Board has again teamed up with Leeds Safeguarding Children's Partnership and Safer Leeds to offer two weeks of free training and learning events. 17 to 21 November is also Safeguarding Adults Week, a campaign hosted by Ann Craft Trust, so we've included details of their events.

Free online seminar for Safeguarding Adults Week from Ara Recovery For All, which provides education, training and treatment services for gambling related harm. This one-hour condensed training workshop will focus on the key elements of tackling gambling harms and is appropriate for professionals in any public facing role.

Ara Recovery For All provides education, training and treatment services for gambling related harms. They support people across Wales and the South West as a proud regional partner of the National Gambling Support Network.

WYFEAT offers a comprehensive training session designed to help you understand and address financial abuse and exploitation. There is an increasing number of professionals sharing concerns of FII or PP with safeguarding professionals in health. Hosted by Leeds Safeguarding Children Partnership, this free session will outline the approach education teams in Leeds are taking to support implementation of the measures included in the Children’s Wellbeing and School’s Bill, and how that may impact on all practitioners, as they strive to keep children safe in their daily work. With the introduction of this Bill in 2024, the role of education in multi-agency safeguarding arrangements has been brought into focus. The Bill recognises the vital role schools play, in collaboration with partners across the children’s workforce, in protecting children from abuse, neglect and exploitation.

  • Review progress towards the introduction of  the Bill, and consider its implications for practice
  • Introduce the Leeds Learning Access Service and update on the development of this provision
